Privacy
When you send us a message, we receive your name, your contact details, what you tell us about your project, and a short record of your visit to this site. We use them to understand your request, to reply to you, to prepare your quote, and to schedule the work. We do not sell your information.
Your messages
Messages and photos you send through this site go to our own server. If it cannot be reached, your message and the record of your visit reach our email through Web3Forms instead, without the photos.
When a message arrives, our phones receive a short alert through Pushover that names the project and the town, never your name or contact details.
Where your messages and photos are kept
Messages and photos you send through this site are stored in our own database so we can reply and prepare your quote. Photos are stripped of location data. We keep inquiries for up to two years, or longer if you become a client, and delete them sooner on request.
Measurement and advertising
We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand, in aggregate, which parts of this site help visitors.
Microsoft Clarity also keeps anonymous recordings of how visitors scroll, tap, and click on this site, so we can see what is hard to find or use. It never records what you type into our forms.
For visitors who are signed in to Google with personalized ads turned on, Google Analytics also shows us their age range, gender, and interests, only in aggregate, and lets us show our ads to people who have visited this site.
When you send the form, Google Analytics also receives a scrambled (hashed) version of your email address and phone number, so Google can measure visits to this site more accurately. This does not happen when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.
We use the Google tag and the Meta Pixel to measure our advertising and to show our ads to people who have visited this site.
When you send the form, we may share a scrambled (hashed) version of your email address and phone number with Google and Meta so they can tell us which ads led to inquiries.
What this device remembers
If you arrived through a friend’s link, this browser remembers it for up to 90 days so we can thank them. This browser also counts your visits and remembers the date of the first, until a year passes without one. For the current visit only, it lists the pages you open, what you open or use on them, and how long the site is on your screen. That record reaches us only with a message you send. Your contact details are never stored on the device. Nothing you type into our forms reaches us until you press send.
This browser also keeps cookies for Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, so that a returning visitor is not counted as a new one.
If a friend sent you a personal link, we note which friend referred you so we can thank them. We show a friend’s first name only with their permission.
Your privacy choices
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we do not load advertising tools, and Google Analytics does not use your visit for advertising.
You can also limit ads in your Google and Meta account settings, or use your browser’s privacy controls.
Done. This browser no longer remembers a friend’s link or your visits. To clear the measurement cookies as well, use your browser’s settings.
